The placement cell of ‘Dev Samaj College of Education’, Chandigarh organized a placement drive for students of B.Ed., M.Ed., PG Diploma in guidance and Counseling and PG Diploma in Child and family Counseling for 2021-23 batches as well as the pass out students, under the able guidance and visionary leadership of ShrimanNirmal Singh ji Dhillon, Chairman Dev Samaj College of Education and Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal of the college who left no stone unturned to give a promising future to students of the college by inviting reputed schools of tricity for the recruitment process. The organizers and the convener of the drive were Dr. Kiranjit Kaur, Dr. Madhavi Goyal, Ms. Karuna Singh and Dr. Rajbir Kaur who put forward copious efforts to make the event a great success. This drive is an essential part of the college as it is instrumental in building confidence among the students.
A total of 9 institutions participated in the placement drive such as I.S. Dev Samaj Sr. Sec. School (Chandigarh), Sant Isher Singh Public School (Mohali), Vidya Valley School (Kharar), The Wunder School (New Chandigarh), DCM Group of School, Paragon Convent School (Chandigarh), The Tribune School (Chandigarh), Wonder Skool—Career Prabhu (Panchkula), Chandigarh Design School.The students were informed about the registration process prior to the drive and other significant guidelines which included bringing updated resumes, certificates of competitive exams, appointment letters of previous jobs and passport size photographs. The students showed immense enthusiasm in different rounds of selection. A number of students have participated in the drive and 84 students were shortlisted.
Overall experience and feedback of the recruiters was steered towards sheer positivity as the requirement of their search for suitable devoted teachers and counselors was rightly fulfilled.
